Frequently asked questions
Which words stay lowercase in title case?
Articles (a, an, the), short conjunctions (and, but, or) and short prepositions (in, on, of) usually stay lowercase unless they start or end the title. Chicago and MLA also lowercase longer prepositions such as "between".
What is the difference between APA and AP title case?
APA capitalises every word of four letters or more. AP lowercases prepositions and conjunctions of three letters or fewer. Both always capitalise the first and last word.
Does it keep acronyms like NASA?
Yes. With "Keep acronyms" ticked, words already in capitals (NASA, USA) and mixed-case brands (iPhone, eBay) are left as you typed them.
